Deer Lake State Park is located west of the community and shares its name with the coastal dune lake within its boundaries. Coastal dune lakes are extremely rare worldwide and in the United States they occur only along the Gulf Coast. Enjoy hiking and biking trails that wind through thet park. Five miles west of WaterSound Beach, Grayton Beach State Park is known for its incomparable natural beauty. The Grayton Beach scenic nature trail circles sand dunes, skirts Western Lake and cuts through a scrub oak and magnolia hammock.
